The Cultural Design Centre and the Design Research and Innovation Group are delighted to invite you to the opening of the exhibition *Women Design Here Too: Highlighting the Legacy of Female Design Professionals in the Canary Islands* on 29 September at 7.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna.
This exhibition, supported by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Outreach at the University of La Laguna, the Tenerife Island Council and the University Institute for Women’s Studies, aims to recover and highlight the historical legacy of design created by Canarian women and in the Canary Islands. It brings together designers, researchers and professionals from various fields (graphic design, fashion, interiors, agencies, teaching and research) in an exhibition that invites reflection on their legacy, their challenges and their contribution to the culture of design on the islands.
As part of the exhibition —which runs until 10 October— talks and meetings will be held on 30 September to explore these themes in greater depth and open up a space for dialogue between professionals, the university community and the general public.
